Each person is a specific combination of the same infinite possibilities, his/her chosen responses to their environment, and the ripple like effect of consequences. (Acts 17:16-32; John 20:24-31; Psalm 95:7-10; 1 Corinthians 4:7; Ephesians 2:8-10; Hebrews 5:11-14; Galatians 6:7)

All Day, Everyday, for Life
If I could go back in time 40 years or so and talk to my younger self, I would caution me against putting on permeant ink that is cool in the moment. Tattoos can be changed or covered, but never erased. Consider the possibility of the “future you” not liking the choice, and the fact that there will be no options to undo the decision. (Exodus 20:25; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
Who and How
The one whose reliance on shakable things has been transcended, and only complete trust in God remains. (Judges 14:12-14; Psalm 119:9; Proverbs 28:26, 3:5-6; Psalm 147:9-11; Psalm 81:10; Hebrews 12:25-27; Psalm 119:103; Proverbs 28:1; Judges 14:16-18)

Continue Mission. Everlasting victory draws closer every day. Keep up the good fight until He comes again or until He calls you home. (Ecclesiastes 9:10; 1 Timothy 6:12; 1 Corinthians 16:13-14; Romans 13:10-11; 1 Corinthians 15:51-57; 2 Timothy 4:7-8; Matthew 25:23)
The 3 Essentials of Life
The Holy Bible, Faith , and Prayer
(Matthew 4:1-11; Matthew 17:19-20; Hebrews 11:1-6; Isaiah 55:6-7)
The Danger of Lingering
Childhood was a most difficult thing for me to leave behind. Puberty marks the beginning, but it wasn’t until I was over 40 that I was able to leave childish things and thinking behind. I suppose it took so long because from the very beginning I already considered myself fully grown. It is hard to know you are in the dark until you see the light. (Ecclesiastes 3:1; Exodus 16:20; Genesis 19:14-16; 1 Peter 2:1-3; 1 Corinthians 13:11; Philippians 3:13-14; Romans 6:20-23)
Refuse the Cheese
Pleasure, fun, and ease void of all consequences, modeled by the sexy and cool, is the cheese most often used in the mouse trap set for the human soul. (Proverbs 1:10; Psalm 1; John 8:31-32)
The Gift of Faith
Some call it the assurance of faith, but the experience of it is far more important than the name we give it. If you can believe that Jesus Christ is the holy Son of God, you have faith at least the size of a tiny mustard seed required for salvation. The gift of faith is similar to a second touch that gives an inner assurance of an unshakable rightness of having faith in God (Mark 8:22-25). Hold on to the faith you have right now through the testing of it. God will gift you with the assurance of your faith all at once, in His perfect timing (Habakkuk 3:17-18; Hebrews 11:1-6, 10:35-39).
Built on the Rock
Most every guy would love to have a house by the lake with a top of the line Corvette parked in the garage. At least I know I have been thinking too much about having a Corvette lately. It’s not that nice things are bad in themselves, it’s the wrong ordering of them that gets us into trouble. Anything placed above the love of God, even the sweetest of dreams, can easily turn into a nightmare. Put righteousness first, and everything else added to it will truly be a blessing. (Matthew 5:6; Psalm 49:6-7, 11-13, 69:22; Matthew 6:33, Romans 14:17; Matthew 7:24-27)
How to See
Be quick to thank God for all amazingly fantastic news and every good gift. But those who cannot see the light, are taught to say that there is too much evil in the world to believe there is a God. Such a belief is at the heart of the darkness of this world. When in reality, the fact that there is still any goodness left in this totally corrupt world is one of the greatest pieces of evident for the existence of a benevolent God. All the creations of God are organic and spiritual. However, the modern worldview hardens the heart so that it cannot see beyond the organic things of Earth and the mechanical inventions of mankind. For all who want to see, get up before dawn. Go outside, look up, and question the status quo. (Psalm 14:1-2; Romans 1:19-21; Isaiah 50:10-11, 53:1; Acts 17:24-32; James 1:16-17)
