What is one thing you would change about yourself?

There are lots of things about me that I would like to improve, but I’m not smart enough to say for sure that if I could change something about me what else would be changed as a result. it would be better or worse. This is the wisdom behind the Chinese proverb about the butterfly effect. I am far from perfect, but I do have a burning desire to be better. This has been a constant source of motivation for me since my teens. Life is lived on the sharp point of contentment without falling off to the left or the right from being distracted, sedated, or seduced by the status quo.

(Isaiah 45:8-10; Romans 12:1-2; Philippians 3:12-14; 1 Peter 5:6-11)

Now is the time!

Share a lesson you wish you had learned earlier in life.

The one thing I wish I could have learned earlier in life is my early morning routine of Bible reading, followed by prayer, which is then followed by physical exercise. As good as things are now, I can only imagine what things could have been like had I only started sooner. Better late than never. Better sooner rather than later. Wisdom calls to all who are willing to listen…”Now is the acceptable time!” (Psalm 119:9; Luke 4:16-19; Matthew 11:28-30; Ecclesiastes 12:13-14; Acts 22:16).

What daily habit do you do that improves your quality of life?

There are many actions and distractions in this world that are not profitable. It has taken me many years to be able to turn from some of them. I can say thankfully though, that there are only a few things needful to support the one that I have found to be most profitable. Early morning prayer is my ephod. It is the one thing that has improved my quality of life every single day. (Luke 10:38-42; 1 Samuel 30:7-8; Proverbs 3:5-8; Ephesians 3:14-21)

My Common Practice

What was the last thing you searched for online? Why were you looking for it?

Every morning, long before the light of day, I search online for book, chapter, and verse. I have much more of the Holy Bible stored in my heart than I do of the specific reference numbers. It is enough to remember part of a verse, search Google with it, and the entire reference is then easily found. The secondary reason I do this is for writing my blog. The primary reason I do this is to nourish my soul with sufficient light for the day. (Acts 17:10-11; Psalm 119:9-16, 105).
