Devotional for December 12

Quote by Bruce Coleman: "All things are possible to him who thus believes."

Great is Our God

103 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
21 Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
22 Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul. Psalm 103:1-5,19-22 (KJV)

The Morning Exhortation

The best laid plans of every country on earth are classified top secret information in order to prevent enemies and adversaries from countering and derailing such plans. The super powers of the world have secret plans, but only the Almighty God can publish promises that no power on earth can derail. God has given us His precious promises and we know they cannot fail. All things are possible to him who thus believes. (Acts 5:27-33; Proverbs 21:30; Acts 5:38-39; Job 28:28; Isaiah 10:15; James 4:10; Proverbs 16:9; Lamentations 3:40-41; Daniel 11:32; Romans 12:1-2; Acts 17:28; John 1:11-17; 2 Peter 1:4; Mark 9:17-27; Matthew 17:19-21; Romans 8:28-39; Matthew 28:18; Mark 16:16-18; Matthew 28:19-20)

Quote by Bruce Coleman: "Blessed is the one who believes."

Proper Faith

4 Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.
5 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?
6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
7 Shew us thy mercy, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.
8 I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.
10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Psalm 85:4-10 (KJV)

The Morning Exhortation

True faith is NOT blind. Faith becomes blind when it is divorced from wisdom or it is forced into the backseat and reason takes control of the will. The intersection of faith and wisdom is where mercy and truth met. Reason properly submitted to faith in God is the sweet embrace of righteousness and peace. Faith sees the Word of God is our more sure pillar of fire by night and cloud by day. Blessed is the one who believes. (Psalm 89:15-18; Exodus 13:21-22; 1 Corinthians 10:5-11; Hebrews 3:7-19; 2 Peter 1:19; Luke 1:45; James 4:8; Ephesians 5:14-17; Matthew 8:5-13; 1 John 5:1-4; Ephesians 3:14-21)

Quote by Bruce Coleman: "To know God is to trust God."

Come and See

10 O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.
11 Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.
12 The Lord hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.
13 He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great.
14 The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children.
15 Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.
16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
17 The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence.
18 But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the Lord. Psalm 115:9-18 (KJV)

The Morning Exhortation

The reason the Holy Bible is the most important book ever assembled is because with it we can all gain the knowledge of God. To know God is to trust God. If there is one essential above all others for us, the people of the end times, it is a personal knowledge of the true God. (Habakkuk 2:1-4; Luke 21:19-36; Habakkuk 2:18-20; Matthew 7:21-23, 15:8; John 4:23-24; James 4:8; Jonah 2:8; Hosea 10:12; Psalm 46:10; John 17:17; 1 John 5:10-21).
