Devotional for August 18

Quote by Bruce Coleman: "There is no limitation in God."

The Lord Reigns Forever

146 Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul.
2 While I live will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
5 Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God:
6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:
7 Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The Lord looseth the prisoners:
8 The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous:
9 The Lord preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
10 The Lord shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 146 (KJV)

The Morning Exhortation

There is no limitation in God. Faith must be based on this knowledge, and this knowledge comes only by the Word of God. The Word is God, and faith in God is the substance, the solid spiritual rock that belief must built upon. Everything else is shifting sand. Prayer must leave the earthly confines of self and penetrate the heavens to receive this grace. Lord, help us! (Genesis 1:1-4; John 1:1-5; Romans 8:6-8; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; James 1:21; 1 Peter 2:2; Romans 10:17, 1:17; Proverbs 20:27; Psalm 18:28-30; Romans 5:2-5; Matthew 16:24-6, 11:28-30; John 14:15-23; Matthew 7:24-27; 1 Corinthians 10:1-7; Philippians 3:8-11; Hebrews 11:1-6, 4:16, 10:23; 1 Chronicles 29:11-13; Mark 9:24; Ephesians 3:14-21)
