Describe a phase in life that was difficult to say goodbye to.
Childhood was a most difficult thing for me to leave behind. Puberty marks the beginning, but it wasn’t until I was over 40 that I was able to leave childish things and thinking behind. I suppose it took so long because from the very beginning I already considered myself fully grown. It is hard to know you are in the dark until you see the light.
