Our Eyes Look to the Lord Our God
123 Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens. 2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us. 3 Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt. 4 Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud. Psalm 123 (KJV)
The Prayer Appointed for This Week
Almighty God, you have given your only-begotten Son to take our nature upon him, and to be born of a pure virgin: Grant that I, who have been born again and made your child by adoption and grace, may daily be renewed by your Holy Spirit; through my Lord Jesus Christ, to whom with you and the same Spirit be honor and glory, now and for ever. Amen. Book of Common Prayer
The Morning Inspiration
A bookworm can be made by reading alone, but disciples are best made by following the example of their teacher. Strive to have your life show by every thought and every deed that you are a true disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is not the one who knows the most that will be saved, but he who has enough faith to do all the truth he knows that will enter the kingdom of heaven. Let us not grow weary of doing good. We may sow with tears, but we are promised to reap with joy. Look around and know that even though it is sometimes delayed, everyone reaps what they have sowed. This is one of the first principles of the kingdom of God.
Today’s Question to Consider
Why is the Bible important for teachers, students, leaders, and followers?

Discipleship and were does it begin,
Mark 12:30 (KJV) And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
The Bible was design to facilitate this mandatory part of the relationship between the Master and his disciple. If this step is missed by the disciple , when the storm comes and the storms will come, no matter how good the houses looks if it’s not built upon the rock it will not stand. That night of the time of trouble both disciples found themselves in the storm, before the storm looking at them they both look the same or at least they both number among the 12. When that storm was over well let’s hear it from the disciple who made that first step correctly.2 Peter 1:1 (KJV) Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
